Who We Are

The women4women Network is an independent local community group of women supporting women. We work in the following ways through three underpinning strands:

  • We promote INTEGRATION by supporting women to participate in society, new communities and grow through two-way intercultural awareness.
  • We allow opportunity for women's EMPOWERMENT through personal development, financial skills and career/employment development.
  • We are CATALYSTS FOR CHANGE by supporting women to engage in local community issues, gender equality, political issues and societal issues.

You are welcome to join us for this important and very timely event!

We are hosting an in-person, half-day conference on Thursday 17th November 2022. The focus is on finances as related specifically to us as women. We will have speakers addressing our pension entitlements, strategies on dealing with the current cost of living crisis, how to access different government supports and workshop space with ideas for personal and household budgeting.

A light lunch will be served afterwards.

This is a free event but registration is required to attend. For more details and to register go HERE.

  • "Through My Lens" Photography Exhibit

Through My Lens was an opportunity for women to develop the skill of using their own smart phones for personal photography as well as focus on their experiences of restrictions during the pandemic. Artist and photographer Ala Buisir ( led workshops on light, composition and editing photos taken on mobile phones. The group was a beautiful combination of Irish and non-Irish women learning together and having opportunity to reflect and express their individual perspectives and experiences of COVID restrictions.

We are grateful to the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Community Small Arts Grant for funding this project in copoeration with the Southside Partnership Women's Programme and the women4women dlr network.

The launch of the exhibit took place on 16 June 2022 in the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland. Go HERE to see a video of the display.

The exhibit is currently on display in the Deansgrange Library for the month of October.
