Who We Are

The women4women Network is an independent local community group of women supporting women. We work in the following ways through three underpinning strands:

  • We promote INTEGRATION by supporting women to participate in society, new communities and grow through two-way intercultural awareness.
  • We allow opportunity for women's EMPOWERMENT through personal development, financial skills and career/employment development.
  • We are CATALYSTS FOR CHANGE by supporting women to engage in local community issues, gender equality, political issues and societal issues.

  • Bread & Roses Campaign in Celebration of International Women's Day 2023

Bread & Roses is a political slogan that was used in a speech in 1912 by feminist and promnent labour union leader Rose Schneidermann. She used the phrase, "The worker must have bread, but she must have roses, too." It carries the idea that we need our basic necessities (bread) to stay alive and we need to be a part of awe and joy (roses) to really live. In celebration of this idea during the time around International Women's Day, we hope you can participate in and enjoy some of the events happening for women around the County. Go HERE for details.
